Commodity Perps
Commodity Perps is a creator interface for launching community tokens around commodity market theses. A creator chooses a reference commodity, defines a directional perpetual strategy, selects leverage, and chooses what should happen to realized strategy profits.
Launch configuration
The launch record combines standard token metadata with a human-readable strategy configuration. The creator reviews the full record before signing any wallet transaction.
Required inputs
- Token name, symbol, description, and image
- Commodity reference market
- Long or short strategy direction
- Maximum leverage selection
- Realized-profit destination
Strategy lifecycle
A strategy is eligible to activate only when its required fee balance, market liquidity, and risk checks are satisfied. Leverage determines exposure relative to allocated collateral—not the total token supply or token market capitalization.
Position states
↳ WAITING FOR ELIGIBLE BALANCE
↳ READY
↳ OPEN
↳ REDUCING
↳ CLOSED / LIQUIDATED
Buybacks or holders
Creators select one return route at configuration time. A buyback route uses eligible realized profit to acquire the token. A holder route allocates eligible realized profit for distribution according to the protocol’s holder accounting rules.
Unrealized PnL is never a distributable balance. A positive mark on an open position is not the same as realized profit.
What users should verify
Every live market page should expose the token mint, creator address, strategy configuration, position status, collateral movements, realized PnL, and destination transactions. Interfaces are helpful; signed transactions and on-chain records are authoritative.
Leverage can erase collateral
Commodity markets can move rapidly. Funding, slippage, oracle behavior, liquidity, execution latency, and liquidation mechanics can all affect results. A configured strategy can lose the full balance allocated to it. Token holders should not assume creator fees, strategy profits, buybacks, or distributions are guaranteed.
